Donate now to bring food to those most impacted by poverty in Bangladesh during continued COVID-19 lockdown. A donation of just $30 can keep an entire family fed for a month!
COVID-19 lockdowns have caused many of the poor in Bangladesh to lose access to any form of income. Families are stuck at home with no access to food.
“Of course, we are afraid of being sick, health care is not affordable for us. But what we fear the most is dying of hunger” ???????
According to a report from Oxfam International, COVID-19 comes as a crisis on top of a crisis for the world's poor. Closed borders, curfews and travel restrictions have disrupted food supplies and incomes in already fragile countries. Oxfam said that up to 12,000 people could die from hunger every day globally – 2,000 more than died from Covid-19 each day in April.
Bangladesh is one of the most densely populated countries in the world – a country about the size of the state of Illinois that holds half the population of the United States. During normal circumstances, these communities suffer from extreme poverty.
The good news is that you can help a family survive during this time. Feed an entire family for 10 days with a donation of just $10! Better yet, you can sustain an entire family for a month for a donation of just $30.
Your donation is saving the lives of these families, by providing the food and critical nutrition they desperately need to stay at home safely and endure this crisis.
Thank you so much for giving to sustain this very vulnerable population during this time of crisis!
